Take part in the competition from the 1st September to the 31st October 2009!

This substantial change is the result of the debate that started when the digital photography took importance. As the rules have kept on adapting through the years, this change is qualitative to open the participation of more photographers, professionals and amateurs, who want to spread their works.

To allow this digitization of the Competition, a new web page more flexible and capable of absorbing this volume of data has been started off. From the site www.naturalistesgirona.org/fotografia the participants can register and send their photographs. At the same time, they can be informed about the news, the rules and can see photographs winning of other editions.

The aim of the competition is to create an open window to the natural world in order to shows us all its beauty and fragility. The idea is that people can appreciate and love its more immediate environment and, at the same time, the furthest spaces of the earth to be able to preserve them. The categories of the Competition are General, Photo complaint, Water, nature and Costa Brava and Naturalistic Members.

The Competition of Naturalistic Photography is organized by the Associació de Naturalistes de Girona and the Ateneu Juvenil, Cultural i Naturalista de Girona, with the support of the Departament de Medi Ambient i Habitatge de la Generalitat de Catalunya, l'Obra Social "la Caixa", la Diputació de Girona, l'Ajuntament de Girona and the Consorci de la Costa Brava. It has the collaboration of AEFONA, Picapedrers i Marbristes Balliu, the restaurant Le Bistrot, the Centre Cultural La Mercè and the website www.fotonatura.org.
